New Haircut

Todd just couldn't wait any longer to give Blake a "big boy" haircut. Since, I know we have another baby on the way it wasn't as hard for me to part with his baby hair. It really makes him look older now.

Paradise Park and the Easter bunny

Saturday morning we headed to Paradise Park. They just happened to have an Easter bunny and egg hunt going on too.
James wanted to have the Easter bunny all to himself.

Blake and Calvin spent atleast 15-20 minutes playing in the child size sinks.

Bounce bounce!

The Schneiders came to visit the end of March. It had been 3 years since they were last in KC and it was so much fun having them visit. Our first day we went to Kid Zone in Blue Springs and had fun in all the bounce houses.

James' baby prediction

James has said from the beginning that the new baby is going to be a girl. He was not happy that Carter(our neighbor) said it was going to be a boy. We had to go inside after this video because James just couldn't get himself together. He REALLY wants a sister!

Best Friends

James and Morgan had a "hug and kiss" session when saying goodbye at Mackenzie's 1 year party. They are too cute. I can't wait to show them all these pictures when they are teenagers!

St Patricks Day

I was kind of dreading St Patrick's day weekend because I knew Todd was going to be out of town for 5 days skiing. Robin and Susan came down Friday night for the weekend and it made things so much easier for me. I really needed and appreciated the extra help. Saturday we ventured to the St Patrick's day parade downtown with Abby and David. This was my first time to attend the parade. It was very busy, but the parade was lots of fun. My two boys in green!
James spent most of the parade on David's shoulders and had lots of questions for him. Somehow they got into a very detailed discussion on what happens when your heart stops. Very random!
Blake spent most of his time in his stroller or with Grandma Robin. He was happy as usual!

Rachel's wedding

The last weekend in February we headed to Phoenix for my cousin Rachel's wedding. Our trip got off to a rough start. We were on the economy parking bus to the airport terminal and Blake threw up all over. We thought we had made it easier on ourselves by checking our bags first and then parking the car. I only had 1 spare set of clothes for Blake and had no idea if he would get sick again. Thankfully, he was fine during the entire flight and didn't get sick again until we were in our rental car. He didn't have a fever and wasn't too unhappy, so we weren't sure what was wrong. He wasn't himself the rest of the weekend, but no more throwing up. Saturday morning we headed to Lynda and Wayne's for a delicious pre-wedding brunch. James loves getting spoiled by Aunt Lynda.
Blake wasn't feeling too bad because he was busy making a new girlfriend!
And throwing balls around the yard!
My 3 boys!
Saturday afternoon we went back to our rental house to swim. In the evening we went to Pinnacle peak for dinner. We went to a restaurant that doesn't allow ties.
So all the guys wore ties and they all got cut off by the waitress. The have thousands of ties on display throughout the restaurant.
No more ties!
Sunday was wedding day. Here is a family pic.
The beautiful bride walking down the isle.
Rachel looked so elegant!
The weekend started catching up with Blake and he took a small nap at dinner.
James made a new girlfriend at the dance. He went over to her table and asked her father if he could dance with his little girl. It was so sweet to watch and we had not told him to ask. He did it all on his own.
They danced quite a bit. James was so sad when her family left early.
He continued to dance the night away with the bride and groom!

What a fun weekend! Congratulations Rachel and Travis!
