Strawberry picking

I was excited to make it to Michigan just before strawberry season ended.  We picked up a flat in Emmett on our way to town Saturday and then drove to Deckerville Monday morning to pick some more.  It was so fun to have the whole family involved and we had two huge flats picked in less than 30 minutes.  I have made 4 strawberry pies,strawberry shortcake, and strawberry rhubarb baked oatmeal.

James and Coach Todd really enjoyed t-ball this year and we're planning on another season next spring.  It was a very wet spring so the season got off to a late start with several rainouts.  This made for a very busy June with lots of games.  James made several new friends that are at Summit Pointe this fall.
