Bathtime

James and Blake have started taking a few baths together and they LOVE it! Of course Todd or I have to get in to hold Blake, but he loves to stand and splash around with his big brother.

We had a great weekend with Ashley and Justin! It was so fun to have them around. The boys love their Auntie and Uncle! Come back soon!

Gender Reveal Party

Thursday we were thrilled to be a part of the Hilbrich's gender reveal party. Since Todd and I don't find out the sex of our babies it was fun to experience the other side of things and celebrate the baby's pending arrival! The Hilbrich's are excited to announce another GIRL will be joining there family. It is so funny that I ended up with 2 boys and Jami is ending up with 2 girls! I hope that our boys will learn to be true gentlemen by spending time with the Hilbrich girls! Morgan and James have a very special friendship that I hope will continue as they grow up. Weekend with Friends

This weekend we had 2 of our favorite couples in town! The Evans and Walsh Family's came to KC for a visit and a KU football game! I'll be honest.... I was a little nervous about having 5 kids 4 and under at our house. I had nothing to worry about. The kids were so good, played so well together and my house survived! We will definitely be doing family weekends more often!

Here are the big kids at the picnic table. Cael(2), Maggie(20 months), James(2) and Taryn(4). Usually we keep this table outside, but I decided to clean it up and bring it in for winter. Perfect for the kids!

Saturday we got 2 babysitters and head to Lawrence to watch the football game. We left shortly after half time and found out just as we were getting home that we missed the greatest comeback in KU football history! We missed a great ending but it was good to get back to the kids! All and all a very fun weekend! James talked about his new friends for days!

Halloween Weekend

We had a wonderful Halloween weekend with Todd's family in town. They arrived late Friday night so the boys didn't see them until Saturday morning. We slept in and then went to the mall to do a little shopping and let James ride the carousel. We enjoyed a super cheap lunch at the Hereford House from a Dealbug coupon that I got. For $2/person we each got a bowl of their steak soup, unlimited rolls and free soft drink refills. What a steal! Saturday afternoon we toured some model homes while the boys napped in the car and then headed to a local pumpkin patch. We have been to Whitetail patch the last 2 years. We like that it is local, not crowded or commercialized, and they actually grow their own pumpkins on the farm. I don't think this was "our" year for pumpkin patches. The patch was empty and there were hardly any pumpkins left. Usually we get great pictures there so I was a little disappointed. The patch owner said that it was a really bad pumpkin crop as you can see from the pictures. At Carolyn's patch we almost go blown away and Whitetail was an empty patch. Maybe better luck next year! Here are some pictures from the scarce patch! James loved rolling the pumpkins around!




Saturday evening we had Jack over to spend the night and Tatiana stayed with Gillian at my parents. The boys carved 2 pumpkins. Jack did one all by himself and was so proud. I was very nervous about him holding the knife but he did great!





For Halloween we had a monkey and a bumblebee. James loved everything about Halloween including ringing doorbells, saying "trick or treat", and eating some candy.

Pumpkin Patch

We went to a local pumpkin patch yesterday, but the STRONG winds kind of took the fun out the trip. Blake and I spent most of our time inside to avoid getting blown away. I did capture a few cutes pics/videos. We are hoping to possibly go to a different patch this weekend right by our house to get some pictures of the boys.
