The Beach

James loved the beach this summer in Michigan! He had so much fun and could play for hours.

In the grass acting silly!

James discovered that he loved kayaking.

He really enjoyed going out with his daddy.

Just splashing around.

Swimming with Gigi!

One of the big kids!

James has transformed from baby to one of the big kids since we've arrived in Michigan. He wants to be with Jack, Gillian and Sarah(my cousin) all the time. He has had so much freedom here to run around and he LOVES it. His only problem is trying to keep up with them. He likes being able to come and go into the house when he wants. He has enjoyed golfing, baseball, bubbles, pushing the stroller, and just running through the yard with the big kids. We go out to check on him every few minutes and on one of these occasions we had the following conversation:
James: "Back in house"
Me: "James, do you want to go back inside?"
James grabs my hand, walks me towards the house and says: "No, Mama back in house."
He is having too much fun to have his Mom around!

Canada

Today we made our annual trip to Canada! We cross over just to make a special lunch trip to Purdy's Fish Fry! Everyone loves the fried fish there(except for me)! Next, we headed over to the park underneath the Blue water bridge for pictures! We used James' backpack/leash for the first time today. Being near the water with him makes me nervous especially since he has gotten stronger and faster! He liked it at first until he realized he couldn't do everything he wanted. He is SO active lately. Blake, on the other hand, slept through most of his first trip to Canada in his carrier.

1 Month

Baby Blake, You are 1 month old today. You are really changing fast. You are more awake and alert everyday, but you still sleep most of the time. You are usually only fussy before you eat because you are hungry or after you eat because you need to burp or have a tummy ache. Other than that you are a very happy baby. You eat every 2-3 hours during the day and you have slept a 4-5 hour stretch each night for the last two weeks. Your big brother James loves having you around and enjoys giving you hugs and kisses. We love you so much!

Fathers Day Weekend

We had a fun Fathers Day weekend. Todd's mom, Shawn and Tatiana came down for the weekend on Friday. They were anxious to all see Blake. Saturday my cousin Mackenzie got married. They had a beautiful reception at the Hawthorne House. Since Robin was in town we took both boys to the wedding, but left James at home for the reception.

Blake's Fathers Day onsie. It says, "Daddy loves me."

Blake and his Grandma Robin

Trying to get a good picture of everyone is so hard. I think this one is so sweet because Blake looks like he is smiling up at Tatiana.

All the kids!
