Canada

We cross the bridge to Canada every summer for a infamous fish fry lunch. This was James' first time to Canada because last year James and I had to return to the US because we had forgotten his birth certificate. I think James enjoyed his first fish lunch in Canada! The cool weather didn't slow him down one bit!
"When do we get to eat?" James is constantly giving us the sign for eat. He just can't get enough!

On the go, all the time

James loved the fish and french fries

Our home away from home

This week I'm participating in Kellys Korner

I thought it would be a great opportunity to show off some pictures of the cottage we are staying at in Lexington, MI for the month.
This is the view of the front of the house when you drive up

This is the back of the house and deck

This is a pic of Lake Huron and the yard from the deck

Take me to the beach

Future Wimbledon Star

We have been watching a lot of Wimbledon this week and are cheering on our American players. Todd has wasted no time and has already put a tennis racket in James' hands. So far we are really impressed with his grip and footwork skills. Wimbledon better watch out for James in about 20 years. He is definitely a natural on grass!

Michigan

We arrived in Michigan last weekend and have been having a great time. Our friends, the Schneiders, joined us last week Sunday-Friday and we all had a really good time. This is the first time that I've had a chance to get caught up on the blog. I'm currently at the Lexington public Library, but we are hoping to have WiFi at our beach house very soon. I'm going through withdrawl. We had great weather and went to the beach everyday. James is getting used to his new surroundings and is loving the beach. I think he would stay down by the water all day if we would let him. He is saying lots of new words too. Last week he said trees, sky, Scout, Caleb, GiGi(Gillian), Seth along with some others that I know I'm forgetting. He still will not say Mama! What is wrong with this boy? Whenever I try to get him to say Mama he either ignores me or says DaDa in his loudest yelling voice! Here are some pictures from our last week.
